What RomTale is
RomTale is a dating-life simulation for adults. Every profile you see in RomTale is a fictional, AI-generated adult character. There are no real dating users, and nothing you do in RomTale is shown to other people.
Who can use RomTale
RomTale is for adults aged 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth when you create your account and refuse accounts under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Data we collect and why

We do not collect your device location. The city you date in is a choice you make in the app. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you.
AI providers
Character replies are generated by third-party language-model providers. The current providers are Z.AI (GLM models) and OpenAI (fallback). What they receive is the text needed to write a reply: your message, the recent conversation and the fictional character's persona. They do not receive your name, email, date of birth or photos. Their handling of that text is governed by their own privacy terms.
Character photos are generated in advance and are not produced from anything you upload.
Safety
Explicit sexual roleplay is not offered and is refused by the characters. You can report any character message from inside a conversation, block a character, or end a conversation at any time. Reports are reviewed by us.
Your controls
- Export: the app can show you a copy of your data (You → Export my data).
- Delete: You → Delete account removes access immediately, deletes your photos from storage, deletes your sign-in identity at Firebase, and removes your remaining records within 30 days.
- Sign out: available from the You tab.
Retention
Your account data is kept while your account exists. After deletion, photos are removed immediately and all remaining records within 30 days. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to operate the service and are rotated automatically.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers named above (Google's Firebase Authentication for sign-in, the AI providers for character replies, and Amazon Web Services, which hosts RomTale's servers and backups in the United States) and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.
Children
RomTale is not for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can see and export your data and delete your account from inside the app at any time. For any other request about your data, contact us at the address below.
Changes
We will update this policy when the app changes and show the effective date above.
